    Chest/Tri

Im doing this tommorow just wondering if this is a good workout for this combo.Im going for mass and strength.

This is what i usually do I go heavy on all lifts always going up in weight. most of the time need help on the last few reps on each set. I also wait 2 min in between each set.
    Chest:
    flat bench barbell 12,10,8,6
    incline barbell 10,8,6
    decline dumbell 10,8,6
    flat bench dumbell 10,8,6
    incline dumbbell 10,8,6

    Tris:
    pushdowns 12,10,8,6
skull crushers superset with close grip bench 10,8,6
reverse cable pressdowns single hand 10,8,6
    overhead extensions 10,8,6

Throw in some fly movement with chest. Thats an awful lot of work for tris... I'd suggest 6 or 7 sets but INTENSE... rest/pause if you have to. Heavy weight.

I do my fly movements in the middle of my workout to stretch out some before the next pressing motion. Stick to heavy tri movements... overhead extentions, close grip bench, skull crushers.

IMO weighted dips are better then pressdowns also

Let me just tell you before you do it...Your tris are gonna kill after chest, and you may not be able to get a good tri workout. Let us know how it goes...

This is true, but there is another school of thought when deciding wether or not to do tris with chest. If you hit tris by themselves you're hitting them 3 days a week... chest, shoulders, and tris. But if you hit them with shoulders or chest you're only hitting them a maximum of 2x per week. Better for recovery anyway.

Personally, I don't think it matters if you tire your tris out doing bench press or if you tire them out doing skull crushers, as long as you finish them off directly and make sure they're destroyed at the end of your workout.

**** bro....can you touch your face after all that? Shaving has got to be a bitch after that workout. My 02:

    Chest & Tri:
flat bench barbell 12,10,8,6 superset with Dumbbell flies 12,10,8,6
skull crushers superset with close grip bench 10,8,6
flat bench dumbell 10,8,6 superset with reverse cable pressdowns single hand 10,8,6

Short and simple.....make sure you use proper amount of weight for each set. And keep the rest after each superset to about three minutes.

    tris look good.

chest, id start with incline if your looking for mass and strength.

id alternate between flat bench and decline
id also add some flyes, weighted dips, cables or dumbell pullovers.

    goodluck

Hey jantzen4k do u think it would be a good idea to switch up the first lift every once in a while.

like insted of starting out with flatbench start with incline or decline barbell. then ajust the rest from there always ending with dumbell lifts?

I read somewhere in here I cant remember what thread it was,but it said to wait 2 to 3 min inbetween each set to gain more mass. Do you think it would really be a good idea to superset like that all the time? Seems like after a while things would start going in reverse. Isnt lifting like that more like doin hypertrophy? Im Not really sure.

About moving I dont know I was going to start that today. But its around the same amount of reps I usually do. sometimes if I feel like im over doin it Ill cut one of the lifts out.
