    deadlift question?? im hurtin!

i just started doin deadlifts, and i have done them b4 in the past but its been like six months since they have been incorperated into my workout. So this was wednesday that i did a few sets of them. Its sat morning and im still sore as hell from them, i mean all over espically in my obliques and back of my legs. It was so sore i couldnt sleep thurs night. I did the correct form and all. So does anybody think this was overtraining?

Be Glad that your sore as long as you did your lifts with bent knees, a rigid arched back and a tight stomache there is no way the pain is bad, instead its GROWTH PAIN!

Remember to let the bar drag across your shins on the way up to keep your lower back in proper position to prevent injury....

I just started doing deads a couple of weeks ago, I know what you mean though. Its not so much of my legs it my back it tight as a mofo, and abs. I know that I did them correct, but I usually use my back a little more than I should, but no pain no gain.

No, just do lighter weight to get the movement down then slowly work your way up in weight, you dont want to mess your back up by doing insane amounts of weight.
