    Lifting while sick .....

    Should it be done ..... i dont mean like flu or strep throat sick ... i mean like a head cold of some sort ..... i got the stuffy nose that if u put ur head on the pillow one way that sides nostrel clogs and than u switch to the other side and that side clogs as well ..... well anyway ... i just aint feeling good and have that head cold ... got cancun march 12th .... should i go to the gym???

    this is the rule of thumb that i have heard about

    if it is above your neck then lift. if it is below your neck, stay home

    -above neck-sinus, stuffy nose, etc

    -below neck-chills, body aches etc

    i am not sure about a bad cough though

    IMO, if you cant give 110% then dont go.

    if i have a head cold but i am mentally ready and willing to lift then ill go. otherwise your just wasting your time.


    get plenty of vitamin c's and sleep.


    *i am a firm believer that lifting lowers your immune system during your heavy lifts when you are sick.

    Exercise stresses your body, not a good idea when you have symptons of sickness~
