i bulk all year until comp time. for your first show you should start kind of far out like maybe 18 weeks or so. i started 18 weeks out for my upcoming/first show and i am 12 weeks and 5 days out right now and feeling like a champ. already down from near 300 to 260. i would start atleast 18 weeks out with a good high protein diet and change up the training method as well. good luck bro and we are here if you need help.

yeah for your first comp i would start at about 18 weeks out and see how things go. it gives you room for adjustments and things of that nature to start a good ways out
