Dumbell to Barbell Chest ratio
is there a ratio u can figure out how much dumbells are to barbell.....
like say if u bench 55lbs dumbells how much is that equivalent to a barbell is there any ratio or am i nuts? lol

correlation would change person to person, a lot of it would have to do with shoulder stability. db's are awesome for building stabilizers up.
shouldn't this be in the training forum?

i know, lol i just got in from the gym and was arguing with my buddy about this and was dying to post it. and i wasnt even thinkin. whoops

would depend on person but for me i can max about 265 on bench and i rep 95 pound dumbells 10x's, when i was repping 55's my max bench was probly about 185 or so...

I max out around 350 right now, however the highest I will usually get with db's is like 130's and its like a bitch just to get 8-10
