Has nothing to do with muscle memory. But effective for mind muscle connection and control. Very simular to iso-tension techniques which are very beneficial.

Hey I do this too but with all my muscles... Like I'm always posing in my house A window when it is dark at night is a great mirror

I too feel it is good for the mind mucle connection... I feel my lifts way more. I know what feeling to look for when doing my lifts.

Yeah, the more you know your body and how to control your muscles, the better you can isolate them and work them when embarking upon weight training.

By the way, this is a good question too. It reminds of exercising the pc muscle(pubococcygeus, wow) which is the same thing you do when you control urination. Same thing. It is used to help men (and women) control premature e and gives the extra rise control when erect. So next time you are at work behind your desk work that pc muscle it may make a difference
