    rest days and recovery...

would taking 2 rest days spread out evenly throughout the week be better for recovery, or taking 2 days back to back be better for recovery???

If you are worried about overtraining try this:
    legs
    chest/tri
    off
    back/bi
    off
    shoulders/traps
This gives me plenty of time. But you could be different than me no two people are the same.

ok here goes the new split...

    day1-chest
    day2-back
    day3-off
    day4-shoulders
    day5-arms
    day6-legs
    day7-off
    repeat...

hows this look???? im also thinking about hitting my side delts twice a week because they seem to be lagging a bit, im thinking about doing it on chest day just 3 sets of upright rows, would i benefit from this at all???

Looks fine. This split places emphasis on your arms since you get tris with your chest and bis with your back (assuming you do your compound movements) and gives you two days rest before chest.

    Looks fine.

yup i need to build my arms and shoulders!!! this way im actually hitting them 2x/week becuase of the indirect training they get from chest and back!

do you think if i do 3 sets of upright rows on chest aswell day it will help bring out shoulder width???

If you still have the juice left, go for it. If you are half assing with a small weight don't bother.

Depends on how you are feeling.
