Good question. I will attempt to answer this. All types work the 3 heads but with some variation. The straight bar primarily hits the long & lateral heads while secondaryis the medial. The "V" bar primarily targets the MEDIAL head because it eliminates the restriction/mobility action of the wrist(less stress much like the ez bar vs. straight during curls). Same with the rope pushdown. So the answer is middle..
