IMO straight bar heavy slow is best for mass and my fav
otherwise its light weight preacher curls w/ varried grips for making them pretty.

Hammers are good because they work the brachialis under the bicep, thus "pushing" the bicep up and making it appear bigger. Combined with straight bar curls, there really is nothing better for pure mass.

dumbell curls concentrate on the bicep. hammer curls are more for the muscle on the side of your arm, the bulge in between your bi and tri. Im not sure what its called. hammers also work your forearms pretty good too.

i like to start of as a hammer curl and rotate into a normal curl and the reverse on the way down. greater for building mass along with barbell curls
