Which on is better, crunches or situps?

Which one gives you a better ab workout, situps or crunches? Are they close to the same or is one alot better than the other?

I do decline situps using a decline board, but am I better off doing crunches?

Crunches will focus more on your abs and not give them a rest once you get past a certain point. Stick with crunches.

Crunches. Hip flexores more in the traditional sit up.

I would have thought that situps would give you a better range of motion. Crunches are more comfortable for me to do though. I will try the crunches for awhile since you guys make some good points.
