i trained legs last monday, and was sore to the point of where it was hard to walk from tues.-fri. by saturday night i was basically fully recovered. does this mean i overtrained cause i was extremely sore that long.

No, it does not confirm that you over-trained at all.

cool, so how would i know if i did overtrain? if i couldnt work them the next week?
I wouldn't worry about becoming sore, overtraining is something to worry about if you keep going all out for months without going light every so often.
Overtraining....always tired, low motivation, lack of appetite, loss of strength, etc.
yea overtraining is more of a systemic thing...it is common for legs to be sore for a long time, especially if you work them hard and don't work them out all that often
mine ALWAYS get sore, like someone else mentioned though if you are overtraining you will be tired alot, won't feel much like working out, lose motivation, etc.
cool thanks for the advice guys..lesson of the day overtraining happens after a longer period of time not just one workout.. yeah i never trained legs really until i relized how essential they are.
If you've only recently started training them hard, then being extremely sore is totally normal.Quote:
