Don't do cardio on an empty stomach unless you are trying to shed fat, if you are trying to bulk this will hurt the prosses.

Also I've heard and practiced that if you are going to work out twice a day, wait at least 6 hours in between your body needs time to recover especially if you a re bulking otherwise you will be doing more harm then good.

lol i heard the number was 7 hours... in any case def dont do any cardio on an empty stomach if your bulking, for lean mass still do cardio but not on an empty stomach, and if u asked me if your BULKING, keep cardio to a minimum

y not if you stay in your target heart rate you are not burning muscle. I only cardio 3 times a week while bulking so i try to make the most out of my cardio session.

yes but it is actually alot harder than you think not to burn muscle when doing cardio when bulking, you will use a little do to increases cortisol levels and other negative factors related to cardio! what i think woudl be your best bet is to jump on a lean bulk diet! take your body weight and multiply it by 13.25 and that is your satrting caloric intake for the day! if you start putting fat on than decrease your calories by 250, if you're not progressing than up it by 250! but if you're going to do cardio for cardio vasular perposes than just do it on like off days or with something in your stomach!this is the approach i would take and what im actually doing right now and it's working great, im still cut to shyt and slowly adding lean muscle!

I have read that you should have at least 3 solid meals in your body before training!

    bulking question

hey guys..im taking NO-Xplode pre-workout, on an empty stomach for an hour, then cell mass also reccomends an empty stomach post...im trying to create an effective bulking diet but its hard to work around the nox and cellmass...any suggestions? By the way, I have to work out in the morning, only chance I get.

hollywood you make some good points, but i am on the lean mass diet and only doing cardio on off days.

tnbb06 i am currently taking no xplod and cellmass, I take the cellmass right when i get through with my last rep and then a shake on the way home( about 5-10 minutes later) The shake is more important than the cell mass so don't worry about waiting i am seeing good results this way. As for noxplod, you should be able to take this 30-45 minutes after preworkout meal and be ok.

just remember supplements are just that, supplements! Worry more about your diet and don't change it b/c of the supps

you wake up in a catabolic state, then doing cadio on an empty stomach keeps you in that state even longer...

Unfortunately I don't have time to divulge why this is not cut/dry, but there is a whole lot more to it than that.

your not Catabolic for say but depleted for a better word... your not relying on muscle for fuel YET... your relying on Reserves... thus that is where heart rate regulation comes into play.
