shoulder mass?
if you could only do one press for shoulder mass which would it be, Db press, or free bar military press infront?

DB presses equally hitting the front/medial/rear heads. (neither in front or back of the neck/head)

DB by far, barbells tend to produce a non productive movemnent of your elbows and do't stim the medial head near as much as dumbells.

ya man my natural structure is the definition of your user name! ive managed to pack some lean mass on however im still lacking in the width department and tried just about everything! im on a periodization training now tho so hopefully it will spark some growth!

Don't forget you can only increase the size of a specific area so much directly, the rest of the growth comes from signals that say "the rest of me is growing too". That being legs mostly from leg work, deadlifts and rows, etc.

I like the dumbells, like everyone else so far. Whe you have to balance it more it works more of the muscles and like SC said you bring it down directly to the side, not in front or back like a bar for military presses.

I doubt it, it will definently add some lower/mid back size, but will definently not look bad.
