Once a week like any other muscle. Maybe do neck when you work your traps.
thanks harl
I train it once per week with delts.
you guys ever hurt yer neck with the machine? I did. i went to heavy on the side movements last week and it's hurt since. It's slowly getting better though. I don't know if the muscles are just in spasm or if i hurt the actual neck. Oh well. Im sure it's clear up. Im gonna def go lighter. i was doin like 6 rep weight instead of 10-12. It's 10-12 from here on out, maybe even 15.
One other thing i was thinkin is, instead of just doin the whole neck once a week, is maybe spliting it into, front and back, and then 3 or 4 days later do the right and left side. The reason i was thinkin bout doin this was that i think it might be better if the side werent interefering with the performance of the front and back and vice versa.
What do ya think about that?
that may be alright! I like to do my neck altogether front and back , left and right but i do see what you mean do it and tell us how it works!

Neck work is old school.
