    tone up training routine

    Hi folks,

What kind of training routine would you recommned for a 35 year old guy who would like to tone up and get in decent shape? How many days a week should he train, how many sets, what kind of split up....? Any info you could provide would be great.

    Looking forward to some replies

    Thanks in advance

Toning up would actually involve attention to diet first, and cardiovascular activity.
Those along w/weights are great tools.

    Thanks for your reply.

So diet should be given attention 1st. Trying to change the eating habits and eating cleaner would be a good start, then cardiovascular activities combined with weight lifting. My question is what would be a good start in terms of number of times per week that one should lift weights? would 3 times a week be good, training the whole body( upper and lower) every session? And would 30' minutes of cardio after lifting be a good idea?

    Thanks

I'd recommend sticking around here. Read Swolecats 'diet' forum and educate yourself there first, then look up circuit weight training along with some cardio.
