i sometimes do them before my workout, for like 5-10 minutes. After an intense workout the last thing i want to do is abs!

abs are still a muscle like every other one in your body, and still needs time to recover.

my abs tend to be a little chunkier and just need a little sculpling during dieting. everybodys different but because of this I get best results by doing a few sets before every other cardio session.

How serious of a ab routine are you referring too? When doing my 3x/week I was doing 2x25 side crunches and 2x50 swiss ball crunches. I need a good ab routine.

I do abs everyday, but I split them up by group (major and obliques). ie. monday: major, tuesday: obliques, major: wednesday, etc... I only lift 4-5 days/week though. I find better results with this method, but everyone is different.
