Jumprope and the Achilles tendon
Rope skipping is by far the cardio I find most fun. The problem is I always get pains in my achilles tendon when I have done them for a while. The pain usualy starts when I have been doing them for 2 weeks or so and it can take a LONG time for me to recover from it.
How do I protect myself from it? Im guessing shoes with better chock absorbation would be the best but I cant afford new shoes right now. Is there anything else I can do to protect my achilles tendon? Wrapping my foot?

I usualy skip on my apartment floor. Maby it is to hard? Would skipping on the grass outside be a better option or just a pain in the ass?

I tried them for about a month or so and I had to quit because it was screwing up the arches in my feet and I felt it in my achilles tendon also. I tried it on grass and it didnt really help that much. Its really great cardio but i would personally walk on a treadmill or outside before i would jumprope again.
