Question good idea to work out on an empty stomach?

i usually wake up and do cardio on an empty stomach.. then i lift later in the day.. is it ok to wake up, do cardio and lift in the morning on an empty stomach, instead of me having to go to the gym twice a day? i usually eat about 6 times a day anyway.

I dont think thats a really good idea..You won't have any energy or be able to lift nearly as much as you would have been able to otherwise. You won't progress..it would be good to burn more calories but not really for building muscle like you should focus on.

No, it is not a good idea.
Would you take your Muscle Car to the race track without any gas??

Unless you are trying to lose weight, I wouldn't suggest it.

im pretty sure if u are on an empty stomach ur muscle go into a sort of catabolic state, and if ur training while on empty stomach i think it actually might be kind of bad for it

I would say no, I would also think carbs would be better after cardio, but before working out. Not sure though.

I eat a banana 10 mins before I workout everytime. I think it helps a ton. Sometimes I don't eat enough and the banana isn't nearly enough...then I feel sick during my entire workout. I feel like fainting and throwing up at the same time.

i find if i train when i haven't eaten anything that you get light headed, dizzy, and don't feel good if your pushing yourself hard enough.. not a good feeling..

Felt like crap for the first 2 weeks but now i am ok, Note that i want to lose weight.

I train at 6:30am in the morning til around 7:30am then go to work at 8am, i eat around 8:30am.

I know that Bill Phillips of Musclemedia said to lose weight its pertty good.

I got more for forms then strenght, but i can still bench around 225 for 10 good reps.
