pissed
wow did i ever fuck myself over...i had a competition last night in which i was aiming for second (bench press comp) at 240 lbs...i maxed out on sunday at 235 and took 4 days off from lifting to let my muscles rest. The comp consited of three chances to get the most you can...i was planning on starting at 225 for my first, 235 for me second, and 240 for my third. Well i got on the bench with 225 on there and i choked, didnt even get it up. Then i put 220 on there, choked again. Finally i got 215 up. Thats so shitty, i can do 3-4 reps of 215 on my chest days...what the hell happened to me? was it because i took 4 days off?

steroids ...i'd like to, but i'm only 17, so i'm not ready for that, my body is still growing and i'd probably just end up hurting myself more than helping

Dude, a lot of shit like that is psychological. You were just worried about putting on a show that you weren't ready mentally. Don't worry about it, you'll hit it next time!

For some reason, weights feel heavier or lighter on different gyms to me.
Maybe the air was on too high or your focus point was thrown out of wack.
It happens to all of us.

From what the kid has said, I'm impressed so far. Keep working bro, and you'll get whatever it is you want. You have to be completely convinced that you are going to get the weight, then the only thing left to do is move it.
