    Dead legs after workout

Every single time I workout my legs I wind up not being able to use them the rest of the day. I cant even walk up stairs and if I bend my knee just a little I hit the groud like somebody shot me, and then I cant even get up unless there is something around to pull myself up with.

I figure that this is a good indication that my legs recieved a proper workout but its a pain.

Is it just lactic acid build up and does this happen to anyone else?

try stretching before and after alot, and the next day do some sort of cycling. that should alleviate some pain.

specially stretching, im talking about a good 5-10 min. after your workout, of some good stretching.

Today I did 2 sets free squats 315 x 10 reps then one set of 225 x 10 ass to ground squats.

    Leg press 2 sets of 450 x 6-8 reps

Leg extensions 2 sets of whatever the max on the machine is by 15 reps.

Leg curls 3 sets of whatever the max on the machine is by 10 reps.

One hour on that elipse machine.

Walked 5 miles round trip to the gym.

There isnt really that much pain at least while im sitting down. I should be close to 100% by tommorow. I do some stretching at the gym but when I say my legs are dead I mean there kaput no workie.

Ya I worked out legs two days ago and my hamstrings are still gone. If I bend over I have to bend at the knee a lot, its hard work. Just stretch a whole lot after you workout, I didn't really stretch and now im dying.

    There is your issue, plain/simple.

After blasting the BIGGEST bodypart the human body has in doing an anaerobic workout, doing 1 hour of cardio THEN 5 MILES ON TOP OF THAT (aerobics) all after the leg workout, has got to be one of the most detramental things you can do for muscle growth.

Get your (__!__) out of the gym, eat your post-workout meals, and BEGIN RECOVERY.

Save the tour de france shit for another day.

Lol well I thought I shouldnt be doing aerobics right after my anerobic exercises.

Guess I will just have to go back later in the day. This stuff is getting to be a full time job. Gym dojo dojo dojo and now gym again.

    Thanks, all

I used to have a lot of pain the next day, but since I started doing a little cardio <10 min treadmill> before jumping on squats it helped a lot, but I guess you should be warmed up after all that walking to the gym.
