    Exclamation Sore After Training?

I used to train one body part per training session, and was really sore for the following 2 days

I am now training my Chest and Triceps on the same day and am having trouble getting my triceps sore.

This is also true for my Biceps
I'm training them on the same day as my back and cannot seem to get them sore either

When i trained my arms seperately i was able to get a really good workout and felt really sore for the next 2 days

When i trained 1 body part per training session i would never count how many sets i did.
I would just go by what my body was telling me.

Now i am training 2 body parts per session, i am also counting the number of sets i do (eg 12 sets for Chest and 6 for Triceps)

Why do you think i am no longer sore after my workouts?

Could it be because i am not concentrating on 1 muscle group anymore?
    Is my training less intense?
Or could it be because i'm doing a different amount of sets?

Is is important to feel sore the day after a workout?
I always taken it as i sign that i've worked my muscles properly, that i've stressed them and they're trying to repair themselves

    Is this true?
Is it important to feel sore following a workout?

    Thanks for your help everyone

could be from a number of different things

    1 overtraining.

2 could be that the back work, tires the bis and then you get to bis and aren't strong enough to stimulate poms

    3 not training hard enough

test it out by changing the order of exercises MAYBE bis before back and then see, of course this should and will affect you back workout but just to see.

or cut it back and be more intense... or cut it back and less intense

hard to say what the issue is, I recently had the same issue and found I was overtraining...

Also try to do different exercises than you are used to for those muscle groups.

Remember- Soreness does not equal growth! You can do a million sets of bicep curls, be sore as a mofo the next day, and not grow at all. On the other hand, you can go heavy to failure for fewer sets, not be sore at all, and grow like a weed.

That's what i wanted to know

I've not noticed any growth changes either quicker or slower as i've only changed my routine last week

Is everyone in agreement, soreness does not equal growth

I have heard that, but I'm still sore most days.

I had got to the point with my old routine where i was not gaining anymore size and i wasn't getting any stronger so i thought it was time for a change
(even though i was still sore the following day)

With my current routine i'm not sore after training
I haven't seen any difference yet because i've only been doing this new routine for a week

I'll continue with this new workout for a while
(nothing to lose, my old one isn't giving me any gains)
and see if it helps me break through my barrier
(even if it doesn't make me sore)

    What do you think?
    Was i over training?

I think soreness is a very good indicator. Doesn't have to be intense, but a bit is always welcomed. I know I grow better when I'm sore. My appetite shoots up, I looked more pumped and feel like I've released more test in my system, increased libido.

If a certain body part doesn't get sore I put an extra days rest between it and the next time I hit it. Always works for me.

I trained chest and triceps 3 days ago
My chest is still sore but my triceps aren't

I trained back and biceps 2 days ago
    Both are still very sore!

My chest and beck were always sore after training
It was my arms i was having trouble with

Well it's 2 days after i worked my my biceps and they're sore as fu(k
Guess i'll just have to adjust my tricep routine a little more

I think less sets is the answer!
    I was definetely overtraining!
