who all uses a WEight belt thingy?

who all uses one and for what exercises. i only use them for squats. i dont for deadlifts, maybe when i can move some heavier weights i will.
but the other day when i was doing my back, there was a guy who was deadlifting from the floor, with 5x45s on each side, and he didnt have a back belt on.

495 with no belt..not bad. I do for squats definitely. I did for deadlift a few times, but I like doing it without a belt better.

weight belts are not good for your stablizer muscles( lower back and abs). but are nessassray when peforimg a weight for a maximal lift. So basically dont use them all the time only when you are putting out maxilaml force with a heavy weight.
