    Cool What is your weight and bench max...and be honest guys...just for interest sake

    I'm 21 yrs old, weighing 198lbs, and my bench max is at 350

    put up 370 today, and did a bench workout yesterday! Not increadible at 254, but haven't started my first cycle yet, and hope to hit the 400 mark in the next few months.

    161 lbs, max bench is around 375. I bench 3 times a week. Hoping to finally do a light cycle and bring my weight to 170 ripped and bench 4 plates (405).

    Yes, I do include the bar

    260lbs +/- and hit 490lbs for 4 solid reps. It should be alot more considering my other lifts, but I'm happy if I can feel it work anyway.

    My chest is not too strong. I am 20 weigh about 190 give or take a few lbs and I put up 225 10 times I havent maxed out in over a year

    225x10 is pretty darn good for 190 lbs. You could easily max at over 300.

    who cares ? yo aint gonna bench someone ina fight. but ill tell ya anyways , 300lbs and i can do 75 pushups straight whatever that is in weight i dont know

    I weigh in around 190, not sure what my max is, but I put up 300 for a solid 4 reps after doing my first three sets.

    Set 1 230 X 10
    Set 2 250 X 8
    Set 3 275 X 6-7
    Set 4 300 X 4

    Anywho, 19 years old, almost 20, working out for two years.

    Max is 225

    Not bad I guess, for working out naturally for two years...BUT DAMN I NEED TO GET HUGE!!!

    I suck at bench and missed an attempt this week at a 1 x 225.

    My highest ever is 1 x 180 about 1 year ago.

    My weight is at 222 lb right now.

    Thanks Mike, I am trying to schedule my routine so that I am going to specifically go for the 225. Right now I guesstimate that I can do about 170-180 max.

    Can someone help me with doing an intense "specific" bench press routine that could get me to 1 x 225 in say 5 weeks?

    Mike I can already do 10 x 155 (struggle with the last two really badly), but I just don't understand why I can't get more than 170-180 or so....it's doesn't make sense to me.

    Does anyone know the ergonomincs or biomechanics that prevent one from doing this? I do have the rotator cuff problems.

    I got 205 lbs. on an incline max out with BigKev spotting me! I don't do flat bench, so I'm not sure what it'd be....

    250 lbs and my best bench so far was 585 - everytime I post this on other boards theres always someone who is jealous and doesn't believe it or pissed cause they can't bench as much. Regardless, it is true but it wouldn't have counted in a comp as my spotter kept his hands on the whole time and I didn't pause with it on my chest. It counted in my gym though so I'll take it!

    jesus christ you guys and girls.. some impressive stuff. Like diesel i only use dumbels for some reason i feel they work better..

    I have worked naturally for the past yuear... I really feel ppathetic putting this up but i think i can get the 75 maybe 80lb dumbels up once... right now i do three or four sets of ten.... i usuallly do 55 then 60 and 60 again. thats it...I wanna get bigger and stronger so i started dbol . Inclines were horrible.. Jenna 205 on incline is amazing.. jesus haha me i use to only doo by myself 40 40 45. But after one weekwith the dbol i fgot 55 up un assisted. I could not beilve it. I was happy... Anyway I am 6 foot 1.. 200 puonds.. hoping to drop that to 185 - 190. But i think that is only a dream since i suffer from a disease that does not let me stop eating .. hahaha

    Dark knight, never say you're ashamded of yourself. I learned quite quickly on AR no one judges you for what you can put up, but what your effort is. If you are trying your hardest, everyone here will supoort you 100% and numbers don't matter !

    Superbeast I am going to have to PM you and listen to what you have to say since we seem to have the same bodybuild and I know we are the same height. What you have achieved is amazing and if I can follow you only 50% I'll look superb.

    I think BigKev did some for a few years right Kev? I guess I shouldn't be so surprised he's big with hypertrophy from bodybuilding and strong from the powerlifting.

    i started out as a powerlifter years ago. did that from 1990-95, all natural. did my best in the 220's, weighed in at, usually 217lbs, like clockwork. did very well. got tired of being hurt all the time though, plus my body really started to take on a good shape and it was hard to stay at under 220, so, i migrated on to bodybuilding. i still lift as heavy as ever, although i dont deadlift anymore. my squat is at 700 right now with no problem. several board members here have worked out with me and witnessed my lifts.

    I'm 21, 5'10", 180-85. I haven't tried for a one-rep max since my junior year in high school. A few weeks ago I went with these sets...

    185 x 12
    225 x 10
    245 x 10
    265 x 6
    280 x 3

    I'm hoping to finsh my sets up over 300 within the next few months.
