Hay bro,, I would say defiantly, I mean why only eat half the cake, or build half the building, the fibbers are there so to get full hypertrophy of skeletal muscle i say use them..
I usually change reps every 2-3 weeks from 15 to six or say 2 weeks of 15s then 2 weeks of 12s then 2 weeks of 8 and so on, it has worked for me and you may be one of the ones that has more fast type 1 fibbers than the slow…JMO

Its good to look at weight training with a scientific eye rather than just seeing how much weight you can use, have a game plan calculate what you are doing.(HOLLYWOOD) that last bit wasn’t a referral to you bro, i no you no your $hit...

he's a very general idea of the ratio of fibers in each muscle group, remember that this is jsut a general idea and that everyone is very different this is jsut to give you an idea.

go down to the first of the links where it says "muscle fiber ratios of the..."

I believe it is worthwhile considering you cannot train heavy all year round. However, if your goal is size and strength then it's up to you to figure out how to balance heavy lifting and rep days for optimal growth... everyone is different muscle fiber ratios are going to very from person to person. Only one way to get big.... go heavy!

I train heavy all the time...MAX-OT baby....

The body is extremely lazy....when u workout ur taxing it...so what does it do to make the work easier? build muscle....there is a homestatis on how ur body wants to stay...so u need to keep hitting all the time to enforce change....Im researching on this subject....There is alot of false info on training...

Slow twitch fibers don't get as big as fast twitch fibers. So if your going for size, you should train mostly fast-twitch fibers

well yes i know this, i wanted to know whether or not it would be worth including slow twich in the mix. when you really think about the general human the average ratio of fast twitch and slow twitch is about 50/50 except for for forearms which are slow twitch dominant so if you're, on average of course made up of 50% slow twitch one would think that it would be really worth while to train that 50%, however the big question is, will these fibers actually hypertrophy to the point of visible size gains?
