Prevention of muscle loss can be insured with proper nutrition protein / fat meals, and cardio in the right places, not near your anaerobic training. I take it your cutting at the moment bro? Are you training in the 60 - 70% of your maximum heart rate when doing your aerobic workout.

As for the cardio on rest day it could hinder recovery to a point, if you are trashed from your anaerobic training you could be asking too much of your recovery abilities, but then you could use the cardio to oxygenate the muscles, it could be fine, just something to think about see how you feel..
