    Joint-friendly tricep exercise

I'm building mass, but I'm struggling with skull-crushers and narrow-grip bench press as it's making my wrists sore.

Any ideas for some good mass-builders for triceps that are easy on joints?

Have you tried using the gloves that have a wrist wrap (for support) built into them? These worked wonders for me.

Sorry, guys - think I gave a wrong impression. I'm not struggling with strength, I'm finding these exercises irritate my joints.

    Any suggestions of alternatives?

Try dips, reverse grip bench, I will never do Skulls again, IMO they are VERY hard on joints/tendons. Another thing to try is doing the close grip on the smith machine, making sure your elbows are nice and close to the body.

I agree, skulls kill my elbows but I do have trouble with both joints due to lengthy periods in plaster cast with the lack of movement and all.

I find dips don't hurt the elbows but can be tough on the shoulders at first. Close grip is good, but yeah that hurts my wrists too

    Thanks, guys.

Yeah - close grip smith bench kills. First time for ages I went heavy on a tri movement and my wrists are really sore. Like the sound of rev grip bench, though - hadn't thought of that.

Dips I do on chest day.
