    number of sets for dead lifts and squats

    my goal for doing dead lifts and squats is to increase to net strength throughout my body

    (getting the growth effect they have on other body parts)

    I normally go with at least 5 sets of deads on back day and usually at least 5 squats on leg day, occasionally with a few sets of front squats on top of that.

    I usually go with something like 8 sets of 3, 10 sets of 2, 7 sets of 4. Usually high sets low reps for me.

    usualy one 8 rep set and one 3-4 rep set and possibly a 1rm if I feel in good shape.

    I do 4 sets of squats, 4 sets of lunges, 4 sets of extensions, and 6 sets of raises on leg day

    After performing warm-up sets, 1 set of 5 reps. Squat is done on quad dominant day and deadlift is done on hip dominant day.

    I do about 6 sets of squats followed by 3 sets of front squats

    ME - Sets of 3 til I can't get 3, then drop to singles...

    DE - 10sets of 2...

    WSB-style.

    nice westside powerlifting routine there...i havent really gotten around to much speed work lately...how many sets do u do of 3 and then one...
    like 4 sets of 3 and 4 of 1

    I do six sets of squats on legs day, but was thinking of also doing squats on back day. How's it treating you? Good? I am looking for more mass in my program. Did it help you? I don't know anyone else who has done it.
    I think it would be killer.

    It depends. I do 3 reps of increasing weight until I can no longer do 3 reps with the same weight. Then I drop to singles.

    im a natty i only do 3x deads on back day and 3x squats....

    I do 5 sets 5 reps for both exercises.
