    Anyone here like DC training?

Anyone who has tried it, I would like to know your thoughts/opinions/results. Thanks.

As a natty I would overtrain with that D/C training, but I think the idea behind it is very interesting…how far have you looked in to it, have you tried the extreme stretching?

I started it on monday. I am still trying to get the whole negative/stretch "groove" going. I have yet to stretch exactly how i should. I was once on a routine of mike mentzgers and noticed every week I could bench 5-10 lbs more and this dc method sounded similar so I figured I would try it out. I dont even remember why I stopped doing the MM routine. I have always liked to do a whole body session then 3 days later repeat, but I have been force fed other methods that have brainwashed me. Its time to get back to where I was.

The routine I liked was like this:
    monday-
    benchx3sets
    shoulder pressx3sets
    deadliftx3sets
    shrugx2sets
    curlx2sets
    tri pushdownsx1sets
    wrist curlsx1sets
    wed-squatx5sets
    fri-repeat monday etc

pretty odd but I always got a good pump and stronger. I guess my shoulder and back hasnt helped me stay on a consistant routine.

Many train natty with DC and do fine.

And.... I am not sure what type of bastardization prog that is...

Where did you get that "DC routine"?

I did not say "this is my dc routine" on my post.
I was saying I used to use that split a while ago that I have realized mildly resembles the dc split im on now. Does this clear things up?

Yes, yes it does. My bad bro.

anyways... about DC. the reason why it mainly works is it hits the basic things you want really hard.

It almost forces you to lift big compound movements with intensity... and even more importantly his "diet secrets" are another big part. His methods make you eat a TON.

Most people when bulking don't eat nearly enough to grow. Even when they think they are eating too much... still not even close.

I did it for awhile.... I liked it. To each their own though.

I did it for 2 months now, I gained a lot of strenght. My incline was 185 x 10 (with the rest paused set) when I started and I'm up to 205 x 14 now. Unfortunately I injured myself so I'll have to go back to a normal training split for a while since I won't be able to lift too heavy.

So YES, I recommend it to almost anyone. Only thing, you should have a couple years of training under your belt before you start that type of program. If you're a newbie, you'll f*ck a lot of things up.

    (P.S.: I'm still natural)

Also, I bastardized it a bit, I didn't do the static holds. But still, it worked pretty well.

The big drawback I keep hearing is the stress on your tendons and joints I no ppl that have done D/C for only 6 weeks and have stopped because of this.

Another good reason to have years of training under your belt. Your body will be able to take more of a pounding.
