    skipping the pwo shake

    i was just curious what happens if you dont take a pwo shake after lifting. i know all the benefits but what are some of the main negative/positive issues with not having one. i tried to explained pwo nutrition to a buddy and that was a question i couldnt answer for him. thanks

    well muscle repair is nill
    It's catabolic rather then Anabolic
    It's right out counter productive. Why even go work out then?

    the problem is that this guy is freakin strong as hell but dosent have the size that he wants. that when i mentioned the pwo to him. if hes seeing strength increases how do i explain to him what hes doing is catabolic?

    After lifting you are in a catabolic state...dont even waste your time goin if u aint gonna replenish yourself. Glycogen etc

    Listen to what you are saying. You answered your own question. "He's strong as hell, but doesnt put on weight"

    agreeeeeeeeeeed Not to mention that your refuelling for your next workout to....i would rather not train..

    With all the data supporting PWO why not do it. Prove it to your buddy. For a little more than the price of a candy bar you can have a PWO shake. And it takes less than 2 minutes to drink.

    During some BCAA's might be good but I wouldn't do a shake.

    I drink carbo force before and during. Mass recovery after. 1 Hour later eat a High protein moderate carb meal. 1500-1700 calories in 3 hours. Good stuff.
