    Anyone do straddle lifts?

If you don't know what they are, its when you do a deadlift with one leg infront of the bar and one leg behind, and pull to the crotch. I was just looking through my dad's old workout diary from 1974 and he was doing 350 for 10.

Maybe this exercise has died out now, but I'm sure it was very effective as a quad/glute/back exercise. Anyone know of it or do it themselves?

It is just about the same as a Deadlift but I think it puts more strain on your legs than your back.. The problem with this lift is if you have short arms you crush your balls with each rep
