Your maximum heart rate is calculated by subtracting your age from 220.

    220 - Age = MHR

    or

subtract your age from 220, then multiply this number by 0.60 for the low end of your target heart range, and by 0.90 for the higher range.

    you should be around...

    Maximum heart rate (beats/minute) 195

    Target range (beats/minute) 117-146

Your target heart rate is based on a percentage of your MHR For aerobic activity, you need to try to keep your heart rate between 60% and 75% of your MHR.
