I am a certified personal trainer and certified strength & conditioning specialist through the National Strength & Conditioning Association. I also have a bachelor's of science in Sports Medicine. You need a bachelor's degree to have the CSCS. For the personal training certification, all you need is to pass their examination.

Go to nsca-lift.org and check out their material. If you want to do the course at home, go to the ISSA website. My brother is certified through them as a fitness trainer.
