    doing cardio

I'm just curious if you guys think cardio is necessary? I haven't done cardio for about a year now because it doesn't make a difference whether I do or not. I can keep off the fat just as well as long as I lift hard. I have a fast metabolism and it doesn't seem to make me any more ripped either unless I'm cutting.

But... I'm kind of concerned that my health might become an issue if I don't. How important is it to do cardio from a health stand point as long as I'm lifting 4-5 days a week all the while eating clean? I honestly hate doing cardio especially since it doesn't change my physical appearance unless I'm cutting. And I always feel like it's counter productive since I'm usually bulking. So how much would 3 days/week of low impact cardio really help my health?

Low intensity cardio doesn't have as greater an effect as higher intensity cardio on the heart, still it will strengthen it and increase endurance. You would only need twice a week IMO to get some benefits. 3 days would be like being on a cutting routine which you aren't. It is a great idea to get cardio in there for health, SwoleCat advocates this.

Low Intensity cardio has also shown to decrease VAT which is potentially harmfull. Not to mention numerous other benefits. It should pretty much be standard for everyone.
