Here is another thread about belts, in case you wanted more opinions.

I will end up wearing one on back day once I get stronger, otherwise I won't.

I used to use a belt, but I didn't feel comfortable with it, so I quit using it. I feel I have more control without the belt. I just make sure that I am aware of keeping good posture on any lifts and that my form is good to avoid injury.

Big strong abs, obliques and powerful transverse abdominus muscles will help reduce the need for a belt. A belt can be restrictive on breathing which is somewhat annoying

Hey at least on leg day's the machines are free. They can curl and bench all they want but they won't grow
*edit I also include the squat rack on legs day's unless some dumba** is using for curls. Then I just want to f*** them up.*

If you don't want that though bro, then this is the next best thing. Its a few pence cheaper too so you won't break the bank
For £40.00 you can get maximuscle cyclone containing whey, glutamine and other shit for only 1.2kg

I wear it on squats, dead lifts, heavy shrugs and heavy barbell curls, but other than that I don't wear it

Some have made the argument that by wearing a belt, you don't allow the lumbar section of your beck develop proprly because you end up babying it with the belt. Something to think about.

I used to wear a belt but after I had lower back surgery in 03 due to a car accident, I stopped wearing it to help strengthen the area. I got much stronger in the lower back without it and haven't worn it since with no problems...
As for gloves I love 'em. I wear them at work, too. Does it make me a punk? He-he...see you at the top.

I don't use gloves or a belt but I do get a kick out of the guys who come out of the locker room with the belt cinched tight, and leave it that way for their whole workout, esp tri pushdowns!
I have been known to use straps, sometimes you just have to.
