Question Can anyone help me with...

    my compound movements.

Ive always been a thin guy, and my weightlifting techniques have always been one of isolation. I have never really incorporated compound basic exercises into my routine as I never really needed size. (I ran track in HS and I box now, so lean and mean is the name of the game).

I feel like my core strength is suffering b/c of avoiding these basics (squat, deads, etc). However I have flat feet, therefore when I squat or dead my knees tend to bow inward to compensate rather than pointing straight out, and I can't help but wonder if this is damaging my body...

Do any of you have any suggestions as to a good workout plan incorporating mass and strength building compound movements without f'in up my knees?

    Thanks in advance!

You could try the leg press, front squats or hack squats and see if this helps you at all. Lunges could also help you with size and strength but I consider them more of an auxilliary exercise. However if they are comfortable for you, they would be great.

As for the other exercises, just include the usual. Rows, pullups, bench, military press, dips, dead, squats, that type of thing.

Have you seen a foot specialist? There might be some type of insert they could place in your shoes to give your more of an arch. All multi-joint leg exercises will give you problems unless you try to prevent them. Address this first.

Agreed, there are foot specialists that make inserts just for people like you. There is one good company my boyfriend went to recently called the "Good Feet Store" and they worked really well with him to make sure he was fitted correctly. He got inserts and then later after a couple of weeks he didn't think they were right so he went back and they rechecked him and gave him a different style free of charge. I don't know what states that this place is in but you might want to look them up or find something similiar in your area.
