Depends on what kind of shape you are in... Cyclists work much more than that to "condition" and its not too much but someone who is not in great shape or has other limitations it could be too much. What is your body telling you? When did you start working out on a regular basis and what is the rest of your workout like? Do you have a good routine because you should also be lifting as well. If you just recently started (or started again) then you may want to drop to 3x a week and get your routein in check first. From there you can adjust your cardio as necessary.

Also, a big assumption I'm making here is that your diet is in check.... If your diet is not in check all the cardio in the world is not going to help you with weight loss.

What kind of reps, and sets are you doing and how long have you been working out for? What was your cardio like prior to this?

Based on the information you have provided then I would say that no 4 times a week for 45 minutes is not too much.

then again u could do interval training/sprints and only do 2-3 times per week and do no more than 20mins, saving yourslef a whole lot of time whilst helping to maintain muscle.

also, I would suggest you stick to whole body workouts, focusing on compound movements and some accessory stuff if u even hasve the time and energy....not sure why a 5 day split is needed
