Simple question, on your leg day how many sets of squats do you do? If you can also break down how many of those sets are warmup, and how many are full heavy work sets.
Also, what other exercises do you guys add to leg day? Just curious.

bar, 135, 225, 315 then 4 work sets :)
sometimes if i feel tight i may do 275 before the 315
6 sets + but usually 8 sets.
I never do a weight that I can't do 6 reps with correct form.
normally 4 sets, but sometimes I like to throw my legs for a loop and do SC's 10X10 and really kill 'em!
depends..
Some days i do 10 sets of Barbell squats.
Some days i do only 3..(not counting the warm-up sets.)
On the days when i do less total sets of barbell squats i normally add squatting movements like front squats or hacksquats.
chest6 i do the same thing...after i do 315 for 4 sets i drop the weight down to 225 then to 135. i take each set to failureQuote:

I do 2 warm up sets and 3 working sets for my first excersize. Then I proceed doing 3 sets for each additional excersize.
one week I'll do 4-5 work sets heavier. I'll do 1-2 warm up sets w/ 225 for 8- 10 reps or so, then its 315-335/10, 355-375/10, 405-425/8-10, 440-460/6-8, depending on how I feel I may take it up to 500 or so and do 1 more set of 4-6 reps. Now on the following week, it may only be 3 work sets, but higher reps, such as; 225/10 for 2 warm ups, then 315-330/20, 365/20, 405/15-20 and thats it. Longer rest b/ sets on my rep day too.
That depends on the mode i'm working in.Quote:

So do most of you only do squats as your main leg exercise?
Squats is the staple of my leg routine last week for example
45x30
135x8
225x8
315x10
365x8
405x3
425x3
I cut forever so my strength went to shit but u get the idea
5x3, increasing each set to a fial top set.....when bulking up I may do a back off set of 10
I normally squat 2-3 times per week, unless I'm trying to really push the poundage
yes, but I have a bad knee, so I cant do much more then that anyway.Quote:

I just tried doing higher volume like most of you and man has it destroyed my legs, I love it.

Back to the ? at hand....what is everyone typical rep range?
warmup, 10,8,8,6,6
or 5x5 for pure masss......
what does you typcial leg routine look like?
I never do below 10 for legs.
They are known to respond better to higher reps w/formidable weight.

So you do all of your squats for 10 reps? How many sets do you do?Quote:
