    Deadlift confusion?

    Hello,

Iv'e been doing the deadlift by using my arms to pull the weight up as I stand up.However today a guy at the gym told me that you shouldent pull at all and that you basically just stand up while holding the bar so the arms dont come into play? Can someone confirm for me which way is correct?

    Thank's

It's good to have a female member contributing here. There hasn't been many in the past.
