first if you want shoulders in the future i'd stay away from behind the necks
they are best for size but they stretch the ligaments of the shoulder and can cause serious injury
do them to the front or on machines

I do them with dumbells. Strict form.

i do them both barbell and db's. I also have stayed away from the behind the back. I heard it was bad for the cshoulders and I found that out first hand. I usually bring the bar down to eye level. And keep you back firmly pressed against the back of the bench.

I had a small strain in my shoulder from doing these wrong. What helped me was doing these on a Hammer Strength machine for 3 weeks, Smith machine for 3 weeks then did dumbells. Definetly helped with form.
