    workout form

Should form be kept strict, or is little cheating okay since it allows more weights?

should the reps be done in slow motion, swinging like a lunatic, or something in between?

It's funny because I've actually seen guys do this.

    Strict form...proper technique...ALWAYS!!!

It's acceptable, on occasion, the cheat the last rep up or have your spotter help you in order to totally fatique the muscle.

There's a time and a place for cheating and it's not with weights or with food.

I agree with Pete about the last rep...key phrase: on occasion.

You would be surprised if you checked your ego at the door and lifted perhaps less weight but with better form, what you can do in a limited amount of time to your body.

    allright, thanks

but lets take alternating bicep curls for example

how should this be done, very slowly without moving back, or moving just a little to put on another 5lbs or so?

Seated...slightly inclined...slowly...one arm at a time. It doesn't matter if you have to use 15lb dumbells. Proper technique is paramount.

Seated curls IMO allows for less cheating and I use these eow to change the tempo of my biceps workout.

    It looks like this

    EZ bar curls 3 x 8 reps
    Seated/standing DB curls 3 x 8
    Concentration curl 3 x 8

Strict form should be used at all time as it helps prevent injury.I,ve seen guys do curls and it looked more like they were working backs out

yea i know what you mean about backs working back

looks kinda funny, but lately i am thinking that it might be a better way

not "swinging like a lunatic" but slight cheating might be better

Only if it is controlled cheating otherwise you,ll end up with an injury

Never sacrifice form for weight where a compound movement is involved because of the risk of injury. Also jerking movements and swinging can cause functional imbalances that can take their toll later. Sure a little back will help you on the last curl rep(though a good partner spot is better) but follow this rule...If you can possibly cause an injury then don't!
