    how often shoul i workout abs?

    would training abs every day be a a good idea or should i do it once a week or a couple ?.....can someone help me out?

    The trainers at the gym say abs can be worked every day you workout.

    Im not sure if the vets would agree but as long as mine arent sore i will work them.

    Some of the bro's will know, hehe love this board!

    yea its alright to work them everyday but i dont they get sore and I dont like to work out muscles that are overly sore so I work them about 3 times a week

    i have been reading since my post.

    Some say you still need to follow the
    "it grows when resting, not working" so everyday is prolly wrong.

    train them everyday
    and once you accomplished your goal of that six
    then you can ease up and do them every other day or even less

    I do them about everyday. Yeah, for some reason they are those type of muscles that can be trained without becoming sore. My forearms are like that as well, and my sessions are always INTENSE!

    I make sure every ab workout is intense enough to make them sore every time, so i work them 3-4 times a week. I switch it up every workout to keep with the shock principle

    The abs are no diffrent from the rest of your muscles.....
    I never feel sore in my biceps... i trained them twice a week before... then i started to train them once a week and they started growing...

    Abs, calves, trapz and forearms are all high-intesity tolerant muscle groups. Quoting Lee Haney, "You can work your calves, abs, forearms and you're 'trapezium' region everyday if you want".

    I just do them every other day. I go from cable crunches to regular cunches. I do 4 or 5 sets each with no rest.

    arnold trained his abs and cavles ed cuz they recover quicker than other body parts

    I alternate abs and calves every workout, so since I train 6 days a week they get trained 3 times each per week. I couldn't train both of those everyday, b/c they would be too sore. See what your body tells you, I feel EOD is good.

    I don't understand ABS at all! So many dif. opinions on this!!!

    All I have to say (like some others have mentioned) is why would you treat your abs any different? It's just like the rest of your muscles. So work them out 1-2 times a week. Maybe once isn't enough, but I personnally don't think you need to work them more then 2 times a week.

    However, remember all people are different, so who knows! But just because they aren't sore, doesn't mean it's okay to work them! Your muscles STILL GROW even if it aint hurting you know, it's called the "healing part"

    train em just like any other muscle, id say but two really intense workouts should be good, overtraining will only result in less gains and a wast of time
