How Far?
Do any of you perform your bench whether flat or incline by bringing the bar down a few inches above your chest and then pushing back up rather than touching the bar to your chest? Does it really have benefits to it? I heard that it keeps more tension on the chest and is better for growth...

on flat bench i let the bar touch my shirt. generaly you dont want the bar bouncing off your chest on flat bench
on inc bench i bring my arms down till there horizontal any lower for me it kills my shoulders

Touches the shirt on the way down, stops before the elbows are locked on the way up.

Touch, if you need to bouch it you don't have control over the weight, up to not quite full lock out.
