Question Straight barbell curls vs ez-barbell curls

Which one is better for mass? I havent done straight barbell curls for long time, i do ez-barbell curls with short grip. I think more weight can be used on straight barbell curls.

Sometimes I'll do both. I'll use a closer grip with the EZ curl bar and then go really wide with the barbel.....

I dont really even remember the last time that I used an ez curl bar for curls....I used to use it the ez curl bar all the time, then i switched up to a plain jane olympic bar and with the results I've gotten in the past few months I havent even looked back to an ez curl bar, though I may start switching up from straight to ez curl every other workout

I only use the Ez-Bar for Skull Crushers because it hurts my wrist to much when I do curls with it.

Straight bar is great but remember to look after your joints as during straight bar curls your arms are VERY supinated.

For this reason I don't do them any more - once you've been training for 15 years you realise that even though an exercise may be very productive you sometimes should omit it for a slightly less effective but less stressful (on the joints and connective tissues!) one. Longevity is the ultimate key to getting big - what point is there in getting big if a year down the line you are sidelined with injuries? Something to think about maybe....
