Its best to sleep straight through, that way your body can cycle through all stages of sleep. The first cycle takes 90 mins and each cycle theirafter takes 60, so you need a good straight through sleep. As far as going to bed at 2am its not bad if thats your schedule. Find a sleeping schedule and stick to it.

Ten hours of sleep is good.

Yes, try and stick to a sleeping schedule regardless of when it is. I sleep 8 hours a night and feel energetic and motivated each day because of it. Any less and the day will be a drag.

Farmer is right, gotta get in all the stages of sleep every night! I sleep 8.5 hrs a night on the same schedule. While trying to get in a few half hour power naps throughout the week, sometimes 2 hour naps on the weekend. Sleep is just as important as training.
