going to 90' is good, it incorporates all the leg muscles , going ne deeper can lead to knee problems and u are more likely to tip the weight over and crash

If you could learn to sit back and not down during the squat so that your knees don't ride out over your toes the stress on your knees is greatly reduced.
Footballcat the lower you go the more glutes and hams you use.

Benefits of Going Low
I agree with the poster who suggests going low for glutes and hams...hams specifically in my case. There's only so many stiff-legged deads and leg curls I can do before they start to stagnate, and in the short time i've been squatting deep, my hamstrings have really caught up to the rest of my legs.
Also, and other may be able to support this (or not), i've found personally (at 6'1"), and many tall people concur, that going deep is often easier on the knees for taller people who may have done all their growing rather fast (i went from 5'7" to 6'1" in one year and some change). I wish i could offer some scientific/kiniseological explanation for it, but i know that my knees used to kill me after a squat workout until i started going deep.

I prefer not to squat deep (genetically week knees) but on machine presses I go as low as possible, also to hit the hams and glutes

Under parallel is what powerlifters do to get a bump in the end to help them up?
