playing basketball?
is that a good source of cardio?
I play basketball everyday for about 3-4 hours (not all at once, but through out the day). I am wondering if playing basketball in 80-90 degree weather and sweating your balls off is just as good as say running on a treadmill or something like that?

Basketball is an excellent source of cardio, just look how lean all the pros are. But mostly just competitive b-ball (ie, teams) will burn tons of calories; playing by yourself or just shooting hoops wont burn as much as a game.

ok good, thats the answer I was looking for. Because just running on a treadmill is so boring and after a while I kind of slack off because of the boring level. I play basketball like everyday almost, and play football for my school, which makes it more fun when running and doing cardio.
anyways...thanx, cya
