    Work Out Routine...

    Hey everyone,

Haven't posted in a while... been busy reading up on stuff...
Anyways, my roommates are giving me a hardtime. I am trying to work a schedule out with them for working out, but they seem to want to beleive only what they have heard. Basically, here is the question...

    Which is more effecitve?

    1.Working out 2 muscles daily...(i.e. back/bi's, chest/tri's, etc...)
    or
    2. Isolating muscles daily..(i.e. chest one day, back next, legs next, bi/tri's one day, and sholders another)

I have heard both sides of the story, but just trying to find out the most effective meathod. I was always told working out as in example 1 is more for begginers and people trying to slim up...?

    Anyways, thanks in advance,

    Steve

really that is a personal choice.
If you isolate a muscle group per day you have the extra time to really kick ass on them.

I combine bi's and tris but the rest goes on a 5 day split for me.
Its just how i like to lift. I always feel rushed if i do anything else.

Im a beginner simply because im still a bit fat, but im seeing good results from what im doing and i recommend it to everyone.

The real question for you is, how many days to YOU feel like working out?

If you list what your goals are, our bros will have lots to say im sure =)

At your weight im guessing you want to bulk up a little, so id stick with 1 muscle group per day, bi's & tri's on same day, and destroy it. People that are looking for more tone and definition would be going for something similar to example 1, or just someone who can only go 2-3 times per week.

since I can only make it to the gym 2-3 times/week, I do bi/back and tri/chest on the same day(s)

I prefer doing bis/tris BEFORE back/chest, which wipes out the arms and really forces me to focus the exercise on ONLY the back/chest muscles ... I've made great gains, but I tend to be in the minority on this one, so do what works best for you
