I think the straight bar is better for mass but the e-z bar is better for your wrists. I rotate them every couple of weeks.

i really think it varies by person....i can NOT for the life of me get a decent pump in my bi's using the ez-bar. Not sure if it's in my head or what, but it just doesn't happen

I have always heard that a straight bar is always better for building mass. Not just on arms, but everything else too. I'm really concentrating on my arms right now because I can't seem to get 'em to grow... However, I read a post on here that said to shock yourself into new growth, emphasize the negative more than the positive periodically. I think it was one of BigD's post. Anyway, I tried it on my arms and man are they ever killin me!!!

I tend to generally use the ez curl bar. I get real bad forearm splints if i use the straight bar. From that i summed up that im using more forearm strength than id like too. Find it easier to focus on a good bicep pump with the ez bar

your wrists are really taking a pounding if you constantly use the straight bar for bicep curls

EZ curl bar will emphasize your brachialis a little more than the straight bar will.
