all depends on how much rest you need to fully recouperate. people differ - there is no set time. i take up to a minute & a half - sometimes i just get so bored i start early.

i'm the same as keymastur. if i really wanna pop off a good next set, i'll rest pretty much as long as it takes me to feel fresh again. but oftentimes when i'm working out by myself, i get so bored waiting between sets that i finish my workout in like half an hour shorter than normal...=)

I usually only wait as long as it takes my partner to do his set, then i jump right back in and do another one, my rest times are usually 1 minute or so, maybe less.

If you are going for size then 3 mins is the norm and if you want definition 1.5mins.If you only have a short rest when trying to build size you will not recover enough to improve your lift.

I ussualy keep my rest periods as short as i can , after all, there is a saying, at least in my country: the iron is forged(i think this is the word) while it's hot!
