Right way to squart??
Ok I've been squarting for 6 or so months now. I added it to my leg workout but the thing is I think I'm doing it wrong. The way I do it is feet shoulder lenght apart feet pointed foward. Now my ankles have some pain in them is this becouse I might be doing it wrong or should this be cut out from the routine.

You don't have to use that stance. Move you feet out a little wider and point you toe's out a little. See if this feels more comfortable. Play around with different stances. Squat to parrallel to test each one. Use the one that feels the best.

I agree with mangee, try some different stances and see what's comfortable.

Check the powerlifting board for some tips on alternate squatting styles... as I found out, my body is built for wide stance toes 45 degrees. Experiment and see what YOUR body likes best. Just always make sure to squat to at least parallel (top of thighs parallel to floor) to get the most out of your squat, do this even if it means sacrificing weight. Less weight with proper form/full range of motion will yield better results then heavy weight improper form/half range of motion.

all the weight should be over your heels. Push from your heels, not your toe. you should be able to lift your toes off the floor
